About the Campaign

Eye Check Up!

Earlier this year Jasmine was a attacked out of nowhere by a stray bulldog. She was on a walk, on a leash, with her disabled owner Calvin. It was traumatic, and to this day she is now scarred of other dogs. Her injuries were very painful, but recoverable, except the left eye.

Calvin took her to the closest ER vet right away, and managed to cover the bill with credit. But later he could not afford follow up care, so there was a fundraiser here (link) which covered that.

At that time the doctor said the left eye had a small chance of recovery, and he did not want to remove it yet. Give it time, see how it does. Now it is nine months later, and as you can see in the photos, the eye is not going to recover. It is obviously “dead”, and Calvin says that recently it appears to be getting darker and smaller.

Jasmine needs to see the doctor again for a follow up. Maybe the eye can stay, maybe it should be removed. But the first thing is to go back the doctor and get it check out. Also, at her age, she could use a senior blood panel and just and overall check up as well.

Calvin lives on a small fixed income, and often runs out of money before the end of the month. Jasmine needs help to get to the vet and all donations here are for her follow up care, for her specifically, and paid only to the veterinarian.
