About the Campaign
Honey Bun is a 16-year-old male cat with a chronic nasal problem that will not clear up. Christine is constantly wiping his nose, and although antibiotics have helped a little, the discharge keeps coming back. His vet now wants to do a nasal flush, lab work, and testing to find the cause.
Honey Bun recently had dental surgery, and that procedure was successful. He healed well from it, and the vet says this nasal issue appears to be a separate problem. But because Honey Bun will need to be under anesthesia for the nasal flush, the doctor also wants to address additional dental issues that have developed since the last procedure.
Christine has been doing everything she can for Honey Bun, bringing him back for follow-ups and trying the medications recommended. The problem is that the congestion and discharge have continued, and now the next step is more than simple antibiotics. Honey Bun needs the flush and testing so the vet can finally see what is going on.
Honey Bun has already been through a lot, but he is still fighting. He was once abandoned in Christine’s neighborhood and slowly learned to trust her. He eventually came inside for good, and he has been her beloved companion ever since.
The cost is the barrier. Christine is on a fixed income and has already worked hard to get Honey Bun through his previous dental care. Now this new nasal problem needs attention, and she cannot cover another procedure on her own.
