About the Campaign
They were looking for a dog!
Annie was crying out for help!
Animal rescuers Faith Easdale and Francella Petaccia were searching in the desert by Victorville, CA for a small dog that has been reported stray and sighted by multiple people. While walking through a dry wash they heard little cries!
At first they didn’t even realize it was a cat (a kitten actually), and then they had to search in the dry and thorny bushes, but they found her!
Little Annie had heard them and was crying for help.
Faith is sure that Annie Cat heard her and Francella and cried out on purpose. She cannot walk, only drag herself. The ladies could obviously tell she had something wrong with her legs, and there were a number of deep wounds, consistent with those from a coyote (or similar animal) attack.
At the vet:
X-rays reveal two clearly broken legs, compound fractures. Annie is just a kitten too. The breaks are so bad that she will need a specialist, and the vet estimate and documents will be posted shortly, once the specialist writes everything up. It will not be cheap.
Fortunately her other wounds are superficial, and it looks like there is no organ damage. How she got away we can only guess, but somehow Annie did, and then hid out until, just by chance Faith and Francella came walking by!
Donations are for Annie and will be paid to her vet. She’s just a baby cat, if her two legs can get fixed she should have a long and normal life… avoiding coyotes!
