About the Campaign
Cali is a 4-year-old female calico cat who has been very sick. About two weeks ago, she stopped eating, became very lethargic, and started sneezing a lot. Jennifer took her to the vet, and the vet said Cali has FIP and low calcium, and recommended medication to help her.
Jennifer has already spent about $600 getting Cali examined and treated, but now she has no money or credit left for the medications Cali needs. One of the medications is a compounded oil suspension, and the cost will be around $250. For Cali, that amount is the difference between having the medicine and going without it.
Cali came into Jennifer’s life about two years ago when Jennifer adopted her from the humane society. Jennifer already had another calico cat and hoped they would get along. They did, and Cali became part of a small rescue family that now means everything to Jennifer.
The cost is the barrier. Jennifer is on disability and has no income beyond that. She has autism, ADHD, and painful neck stenosis, and her animals help her emotionally day to day. She is hoping to find part-time work, but right now she is living on a very limited fixed income.
Jennifer also recently had to buy a new tire for her car, which took what little extra money she had. She used CareCredit for Cali’s care already and cannot keep adding more debt. She wants to help Cali, but she has reached the point where she cannot pay for the medication herself.
Cali is young, loved, and already under veterinary care. Donations will help cover Cali’s prescribed medication, supportive care, follow-up needs, and any related treatment so Jennifer can give her the best chance to start eating and feeling better again. All donations are paid only to the veterinarian.

Hoping enough funds are raised to get the medicine needed.
