About the Campaign
Torn CCL in his knee.
Zorro has a torn CCL (Cranial Cruciate Ligament), which makes his knee unstable, and very painful if any weight is put on it. We don’t know how it happened exactly, he was outside playing around and doing dog stuff, and when he came back in the house, Zorro was limping.
At first his owner, Denise, thought it might just be a sprain, but it did not get better after a couple days, so they went to the vet. At first the vet just gave him pain medication and said to wait and see, but Zorro did not get any better and in fact he started whining and whimpering, something he never does! So there was a second visit, and x-rays, and the doctor was sure: Zorro has a torn CCL and needs surgery. You can read about torn CCL here, this condition can only get better with surgery, it will not heal on its own.
Financial situation
Denise is a disabled senior citizen who lives on SSDI (disability), and just does not have the money available to pay for Zorro’s surgery. All donations here are only for Zorro and are only paid directly to the vet for his surgery, never the owner. So please, make a donation to Zorro today, it will go to him! WOOOF!
