About the Campaign

This little senior has one tooth left,

and it has got to go!

Earlier in 2022 a rescue saved a number of animals from a neglect situation. The owners were dumping them all out on street! One of them was Zoey, a senior (probably about 15 year-old) Chihuahua. Donna found out about the situation, and that the rescue needed help, and she took in Zoey.

Now Zoey was in bad shape. She was too skinny, very frail. She had no fur anywhere, and a skin infection… and of course, terrible teeth. The video above shows her shortly after going to Donna before she got all fixed up. She is whimpering because of the dental pain.

Donna’s rescue, Soul2Soul Animal Rescue, got Zoey fixed up. She added some weight, and is now 6 lbs. Her skin got taken care of, and some fur has slowly grown back. The dental? Well they removed all her teeth, except one. Why they left the one tooth, Donna doesn’t know. Probably they thought it was in good condition, and just let her keep a tooth?

Safe at the rescue now:

But this brings us to the problem: That tooth has gotten infected, leading to a gum infection. Now Zoey is getting snot in her nose, and that is leading to trouble breathing, all from the infection. At her age it just leads to more problems. Hopefully the vet will be able to do the surgery quickly, with fairly light anesthesia and get that tooth out and gums fixed!

All donations are just for Zoey, and will go right to the rescue. If you can help Zoey out, please consider a donation and a share! Thank you.
