About the Campaign

Zoey is a 9-year-old female cat with recurring mammary tumors. She has already gone through two surgeries to remove the cancer, and biopsy results confirmed grade 2 mammary cancer. Now the tumors are coming back again, and the vet is recommending oncology care and chemotherapy.

Zoey was spayed last May, and about a month later Cindy and Genesis noticed bumps forming along her stomach near the mammary area. The vet diagnosed cancer, and Zoey had her first surgery in August 2025. When the lumps returned a few months later, she needed a second surgery in February of this year. Now new lumps are appearing again, including one under her arm that still needs to be evaluated.

The next step is for an oncologist to review Zoey’s records and create a treatment plan. Another surgery may be difficult because Zoey has already had so much tissue removed in that area, so chemotherapy may be the best option to slow the cancer and give her more time.

Zoey came into the family in 2017, when Genesis and her mother, Cindy, rescued her. A family friend had found Zoey as a stray when she was about 6 months old. Genesis fell in love with her, brought her home, and Zoey has been part of the family ever since.

Cindy and Genesis have already spent thousands on Zoey’s care and have used up what they could through CareCredit. Cindy had to leave her job at the post office because of serious immune system health problems and is still going through medical appointments and testing. Genesis, who is 23, is now the only one working in the household, part time at Sally Beauty Supply.

They are on Section 8 and other assistance, and they also have to move at the end of the month because their current apartment is not passing inspection. They do not have a car, so Genesis takes the bus to work and to appointments, making everything harder and more expensive to manage.

Zoey has fought through two surgeries already, and her family is trying to keep fighting for her. Donations will help cover her oncology consultation, record review, chemotherapy, medications, testing, and follow-up care so Zoey can have the best chance against this returning cancer. All donations are paid only to the veterinarian. Vet email with cost information below, click to enlarge:

Believe it or not, you can slow any cancer (read about it) in cats sneaking broccoli sprouts in his food. They are finding it has amazing benefits and is not expensive.
