He hurt his knee chasing lizards, 

that just ain’t fair!

This amazingly handsome boy is the three year-old Zeus. His owner Roxanne got him from a person giving away Pittbull puppies. He was in bad shape, the runt of the litter if you can believe it! He was malnourished and underdeveloped, but Roxanne got him home and began to fatten him up with good food and love and attention and just look at this boy now!

Pitties are prone to this type of knee injury, a torn CCL. And Zeus was probably going to tear his eventually, but about two months ago after a day chasing lizards around the local park, he was limping. Now at first it came and went, but eventually it got to where he wasn’t walking on his right leg at all, and Roxanne took him to the vet.

At first she got an estimate of around $4000 and didn’t have any idea how she would pay for it. Since then she has gotten to another vet, an older, traditional type who just wrote the estimate on a piece of paper… no official long forms for him! But the price is great, under $2000.

Roxanne has another dog and a cat, and by bad luck BOTH had major events in December of last year, cancer and a broken leg. That set her back over $5000 and she just does not have the money for Zeus to get fixed up. And it is important to do soon. With the injury he is now putting all his weight on the other leg, risking more injury.
