About the Campaign

Zero’s breathing is getting worse. Check out the video of Zero breathing

You might remember Zero, he was a little chihuahua that needed money to see a specialist on his breathing.

https://freeanimaldoctor.org/campaigns/zero/

Well after seeing the specialist the vet has prescribed a new test, an endoscopy. The vet believes there might be a growth or something in the nasal cavity causing a blockage and making it hard for Zero to breath. The senior bloodwork that was taken at the first visit did come back negative, he looks healthy otherwise.  Alfonso, Zero’s dad says you can even see that his bridge of his nose is swollen. The only suggestion the specialist has at the moment was to give Zero, Zytrec. Zytrec is an allergy pill, antihistamine. When  Zero has a coughing spell or sneezing Alfonso is to give him 1/2 a pill.

Current Status

Alfonso says that Zero’s coughing is getting worse. Zero is no longer running around. His walks are getting shorter and Alfonso is having to carry him when he is done walking. Outside of the breathing issue Zero is living a normal 8 year old dog life.

How they met

Alfonso got Zero from a friend who had a litter of puppies. Zero is Alfonso’s emotional support animal. Zero changed Alfonso’s life around and kept Alfonso out of trouble.

“If I had the money I would spend it on him in a minute. It’s my baby!”

My Chihuahua had a collapsible trachea and also what was thought to be growth in the sinus cavity. We gave her benadryl and also picking her up with her head on my shoulder helped. Tina lost her battle in July.
