About the Campaign

Yoshi Adopted

Yoshi is a year and a half year old cat, born with one eye. Amanda adopted him from the Santa Maria pound and didn’t see any problems with a one eyed cat.

Since Yoshi has tissue behind his eyelid, Amanda was told that he might need ointment if the eye ever got infected. Amanda also had a routine of warm compress to his eye every week. She has had him over a year and last Friday Yoshi had the worst crusty eye she had seen. Amanda immediately took Yoshi in to the vet.

Yoshi needs his eye tissue to be removed and then the eye sewn shut as soon as possible. The surgery date is set for this Friday, January 11th. Any funds before then will help Yoshi’s family out tremendously.

When Yoshi was adopted Amanda had planned on getting the surgery done but due to health reasons, there is only one person providing for their family and they don’t have the extra income to pay for the surgery. The good news is what isn’t raised, there is a nonprofit willing to help and give a loan for Yoshi’s surgery. However, the family really doesn’t have much extra each month to pay the loan back so came to us for help as well.

Vet Estimate: Estimate # 304591 for Amanda Yoshi copy

Free Animal Doctor pays 100% of the money raised directly to the vet for Yoshi's vet care.
