About the Campaign
Yofi has got some yucky teeth, and gum infection.
She needs dental surgery something bad!
Cool thing about this little girl, she is a service dog, recognized by the State of Washington! Her owner, Roxanne, has angina, where blood flow to the heart reduces and can lead to a heart-attack. She has medication to control it, and Yofi can sense the condition before Roxanne has symptoms and alert her to take the medications!
Roxanne noticed a bit more than a month ago that Yofi’s breath was getting really bad, and she wanted to take her to the vet. Roxanne also has Parkinson’s, and is on a small fixed income. After her rent she only has about $200 a month to live on, and all the vets in the area are $68-75 just for a visit. She quite literally didn’t have the money. But a friend showed her a coupon from Banfield where the initial visit is free, so she used that to get Yofi examined.
Yofi and her sister Ella:
The doctor was nice, and gave her a written estimate, but goodness, it is $4000! So we have arranged for a second opinion from a doctor we know in the area, and that appointment is November 2nd. We know it will be a lot cheaper, for now we are guessing 1/2 the price or less. (We will update the fundraiser exactly when we get the new estimate).
For now we want to get the fundraiser for for Yofi! She may not be the prettiest little girl out there but hey, she is 14 years-old AND has a job checking her mom’s health! She’ll get a full blood test to make sure she is healthy for surgery, but other than her teeth she is still and active and happy little dog, and we are confident she will be fine.
Can you help Yofi get her dental surgery? All donations are specifically for her, and will paid only to the vet that does the surgery!

Updated, much more affordable estimate:

My Mum has late-stage Parkinson’s and can no longer have a dog – I know she’d want me to donate to Yofi and Roxanne. PS Yofi you are GORGEOUS. What a face!

I just had my 12 year old Ratcha’s teeth done and and my Corgi mix is next. I wish I was wealthy. I hate to see animals suffer.
