About the Campaign

Angry little dog,

angry because she’s in pain?

Xena just got rescued from the Stanislaus County (California) animal shelter. She was reported as healthy, but when arriving at the rescue it was immediately clear she had infected teeth. In fact there is an infection so bad it is coming through her cheek and is visible on the outside of her face!

Additionally, a simple visual inspection showed mammary tumors. Then the doctor discovered a heart condition! Clearly she was not healthy at all.

Xena bites, and doesn’t like being touched much, but Donna who runs the rescue and has a lot of experience with rescue dogs, thinks that Xean’s behavior is due to the pain she is in. With treatment, Xena should be a much better doggie, and much more adoptable!

The rescue took four senior dogs from the shelter, and Xena and another one, Sophia (her campaign is HERE), both turned out to have undisclosed health issues. They need help covering the cost of these seniors dogs. Once healthy the seniors are adopted to good homes, and the rescue also has palliative care fosters for those that need it. All donations are paid only to the vet for Xena! Estimate below, click to enlarge:
