About the Campaign
Dream-Fetchers Rescue got a call
“Injured small dog, bad area!”
They’re calling her Willow! When Faith Easdale took her into the Emergency Vet they first recommended putting her to sleep. But Faith demanded she be given a chance, and once he started working on her, the doctor came around. “We have a fighter here! She can make it!”
Willow has been suffering for days
Bones sticking out of her ribcage, dead tissue
The doctor started removing foxtails and gravel from her wounds, and maggots crawled out! She had necrotic (dead) tissue and even one rib bone was dead and had to be cut off.
But her blood tests came back surprisingly strong, and Willow kept trying to stand and walk. The doctor became convinced, she is young (just about 1 year) and strong and wants to live.
Willow was attacked by a larger animal, probably a coyote, but got away. She then wandered around the area, known for people dumping dogs, for 3-5 days suffering from her wounds. Fortunately she was sighted by a good samaritan who knew to call Dream Fetchers Rescue. They arranged a team to go trap Willow, and got here right away! Faith then rushed her to the ER vet (this was Sunday, June 23rd).
What Willow needs
Her care at the ER has already come in over $2000.00, and she will need at least 3 more days of hospitalization and more care during the week at the vet clinic. Her bill will easily come in over $3000.00.
Dream Fetchers trapped her, they have a foster home and rescue lined up to take her when she is better, but they cannot save her without donations! All donations are only paid to the vet or rescue directly, never any individual! Donate to help Willow today! Thank you!!!
