Whisky needs eye surgery
This sweet Corgi-mix is about 5 years old, and was stuck in the San Bernardino animal shelter. He was set to be put to sleep, not because of aggressive behavior, not because he was anti social,… but because he has “cherry-eye”, an easily correctable condition!
Whisky in the shelter:
The shelter is full, and they decided that a great dog like Whisky just can’t be adopted, no one will adopt a dog that has a medical condition.
Whisky got saved!
The all volunteer rescue SoCal Animal Rescue Squad (website) was asked to save him, and they were also promised that the surgery would be done for free.
The rescue took Whisky, got him a check up, and determined other than the cherry-eye he was perfectly healthy. However, the promised free surgery fell through, and the rescue is left with a big problem. Whisky needs surgery to be adopted, and for his eye’s health. Untreated cherry-eye can lead to infections, and even blindness.
Fortunately they have a veterinarian that will do the procedure for a fantastic rate of only about $600, so Whisky doesn’t need much! (This procedure can easily cost over $2000). All donations are just for Whisky and will go right to get him this surgery ASAP! See his estimate below (click to enlarge):
