About the Campaign
Young, lovable Bulldog has
inverted eyelids, and it hurts!
It is a condition called Entropion. The dogs eyelids are reversed, the eyelashes are UNDER the lid and rubbing the eyes. If you want to know more you can read all about it HERE.
The main point is it hurts. You know what it is like when you get one eyelash under your eyelid? Imagine them all. In both eyes. And the more you blink, it just gets worse!
Waffles is her owner Jonathan’s best friend. And she is a rescue! Last year an elderly couple was looking to rehome English Bulldog, Waffles, as they were moving into a retirement home that did not allow dogs. Waffles was under 3 years old, and needed a great, permanent home.
Rescuer Faith Easdale got involved and got Waffles to Jonathan. He had recently divorced, and his partner had taken their dog. Jonathan was in a depression cycle, and needed a way out. It was one of those “meant to be” matches! Waffles and Jonathan became best friends, and credits Waffles with breaking him out of his cycle of depression… dogs! Right?
So he got her in March of 2022, and the former owners had said she had allergies that came and went and affected her eyes. In December it got really bad, as you can see. Eyes swollen shut, where Waffles cannot even see! So Jonathan took her to the vet, and the vet said that is was not allergies, but Entropion. The only solution? Surgery.
Jonathan just got put off his work again, for disability, and is only getting $200 a week on disability. Faith got a great vet to do the surgery at a low price, and then throw a rescue discount in on top of that, so the cost is just at $1300… but this is beyond any budget Jonathan can save for right now.
Entropion is completely correctable with surgery, but if not corrected will lead to eye damage and full, permanent, blindness. Waffles is only three! Let’s not let that happen! All donations are held by us, and paid only to the veterinarian when surgery is performed, no money is paid to the owner.

I am giving a donation because I feel so sorry for this poor dog. I appreciate so much that this dog has a loving home and I understand that’s a lot of money to come up with when you don’t have it. Every bit makes a difference. Prayerfully she will have surgery soon. I love animals and I try to help as often as I can. They make the world a better place.

Hello from Las Vegas. I know my donation is only $50, but I pray that it helps to allow Waffles to have her surgery ASAP. If there is a way to keep me updated on her condition–I would very much appreciate it. My email info is on file. To Waffles, her Daddy and the veterinarian/staff: Best of luck and God Bless🐾🙏💖
