Tumor in the ear

Waffle is a shy and awkward little cat. Fortunately for him, Waffle found Michele, who likes shy little kitties!

In fact, she rescued his mom, who was a stray and got her and all her kittens adopted, except for Waffle who stayed with her because no one seemed to want him.

Waffle has had some health problems in the past, like teeth issues and other things, but Michele took care of them all. She usually uses a holistic vet and that is where she went when she noticed there was some puss discharge from Waffle’s ear, and then even some blood!

The doctor says there is a tumor deep in the ear. It is going to require some surgery to take care of, maybe having to be removed or maybe to get in and treat with medications. This is not a service the holistic vet provides, so Waffle has to see a surgeon, and Michele cannot afford even the visit right now.

UPDATE, 12/23/2024: Waffle has been examined by the surgeon, Dr. Mark Williams. He needs surgery to remove the tumor, which will require removal of part of the ear. The doctor hopes to keep the main part of the ear intact however. Updated estimate is below.

Her care-credit is maxed out, and her income is unstable doing mostly odd jobs like pet sitting, and Waffle is scratching at his ear making it worse. All donations are just for Waffle, and paid only to the vet for treatment. We are looking to raise enough to get him in, and do a first treatment and go from there!
