About the Campaign
Suddenly a few days ago 4 year-old Toby became lethargic, vomited, wouldn’t eat or drink; yesterday he vomited 2 times and his stool was rust color, couldn’t even stand on all 4 legs without falling over. His owner Keri took him to Sunnymeade Vet and spent the last 300 she had to help him.
Toby Needs Tests:
They don’t know the cause yet but need to run tests. Keri is without work and needs whatever help she could get. Toby is in and out of the vet ad constantly needs blood transfusions.
Toby’s cells are killing his good RBC’s rapidly. He needs more transfusions to give him more time for the medication to work, but if he doesn’t get more blood whatever condition he has could prove fatal.
Why they need help:
Keri has suffered some great losses and can’t afford another. Toby is like a child to her and loves him with all she has. She’s paid for his treatment and tests so far but she doesn’t have much funding left. Keri says, “anything will help” so let’s give her a helping hand.

All animals deserve a chance to get well. They feel pain & sickness as we do. If anything can be done to save them, it should be done. God created them, same as humans or he wouldn’t have had Noah build the Ark to save all. Over the years my family has lost many animals. We treated best we could with home remedies,etc. It was heartbreaking. We could not afford the Vet., which were few & far between those days. I’ve had many kitties, show up at my home, some were pregnant. We have a program here No Kill, plus low cost spay & neuter. Which has helped tremendously. I,also, had two cats that were hurt & had to take to a vet recently. One cost 300.00 & the other one was 145.00. Being a Senior I’ve had to charge on credit card & pay a monthly payment. At this time I have 8 stray cats & a dog I found on the side of the road. It is very hard to keep myself fed & them too. They don’t have missed meals, I do. Can’t afford both. I have a notebook full of photos of all my passed animals. Everyone have been taken well cared for. One even had a floating kidney removed. I wish I could give to all sick animals. My heart hurts for that beautiful puppy. Know her human is desperate. Ti have him be well. God bless all you do. For the love of animals from the state of Virginia.
