About the Campaign

Little dog, a lot of

different homes!

Tiny has a terrible toe tumor. Fitting for Tiny, it is his tinniest toe, the pinkie. It is cancer, and he needs the toe amputated.

Tiny is actually pretty small, he is just about 8 pounds, probably a Yorkie-Chihuahua mix of some sort. Tiny was surrendered to SoCal Animal Rescue Squad (SCARS), a rescue, about two years ago. He had terrible teeth at that time, with a dental infection going down even into his jaw bone.

SCARS got him fixed up. He got adopted. And he got returned. He barked too much. Six months later Tiny got adopted again! And returned after one day (he growled at them). But through all of it Tiny has stayed with the same foster family, and maybe at this point they will keep him as their dog. In September, while on a walk, they noticed he was kind of stepping funny. At home they inspected his paws and noticed what looked like maybe a blister or a little bump.

It didn’t get better, in fact it got bigger and bigger. On September 13th Tiny went to the doctor, they did a biopsy (you can see the blue thread from the little stitch he got), and on the 20th it came back as cancer.

The doctor says it looks isolated, and with removal of the toe they can probably get all of the cancerous tissue and Tiny will be fine! He’ll just be a little bit tinnier!

SCARS has paid the $500 for the biopsy, and as a non-profit they get Tiny 30% off the surgery bill. Still, help is needed to get Tiny his surgery. All donations are for Tiny and paid to the vet. Estimate is below, please click to enlarge:
