Teeny

About the Campaign

Teeny is a 6-year-old female American Pitbull on the smaller side at 40 pounds, and she has a necrotic boil that needs veterinary care. Audrey first noticed the problem about two months ago and had been trying to save money to get Teeny treated, but then the area started turning black, making it much more urgent.

Teeny has almost never had medical problems before, other than a broken nail. This is the first serious health issue Audrey has faced with her, and she is scared because she knows the wound cannot be ignored. Teeny needs an exam, treatment for the damaged tissue, medication, and whatever care the vet recommends to stop the infection and help her heal.

Teeny came into Audrey’s life as a tiny puppy. She was a Christmas gift from a family member, but her mother had rejected her and everyone worried she might not survive as a puppy. Audrey took her in at just 4 weeks old, bottle-fed her formula every two hours, and kept going until Teeny made it. She has been Audrey’s baby ever since.

Audrey had been saving for Teeny’s care, but then she unexpectedly lost her job after a conflict at work and had to use her savings for rent, bills, and her car payment. She has found a new job making cable wires at a factory, but it does not start until the 1st, and she will still have to wait for her first paycheck.

Audrey lives alone with Teeny and is very attached to her. She says Teeny is her best friend, and she is also working toward having her recognized as an emotional support animal. Losing her job came at the worst possible time, and now she is also facing rent, car payments, and a pet fee at her apartment.

Audrey does not want to ask for help, but her back is against the wall. Donations will help cover Teeny’s exam, wound care, medications, possible surgery or drainage, follow-up care, and any treatment needed to heal this necrotic boil before it gets worse.
