About the Campaign
Tangy aka Tangelo (we initially thought kitty was a male) was found on the hot pavement in the middle of the street. She had just been hit by a car and the driver got out to look and quickly got back in her car and drove away, leaving her to die.
Tangy was very weak and she could barely open her eyes. Kitty Coral Cat Rescue ended up saving her and got her to the vet. Once arrived and waiting to be checked in, Tangy was purring with gratitude for being saved.
Vet completed a full examination, and Tangy will need a left rear leg amputation, amongst other skin conditions addressed. The leg is basically “dead”, with no nerve response, and amputation is the best course. It is a rear leg, and three legged (tripod, we call them) kitties, especially missing a rear leg, do very well and can and do have totally normal and happy lives!
You will see the vet estimate below is about $1400. The rescue has already raised money with Facebook fundraiser, and some nice people called in donations to the veterinarian as well. Just $500 more is needed to get Tangy the surgery she needs to be healthy, happy and adopted (and for a follow up visit).
