About the Campaign
This is Jessie
Jessie is an active, fun loving, 5 year old, terrier mix that has now ben reduced to limping and resting. We don’t know how, but we assume Jessie’s active personality caused her to injure herself. Her skinny legs and top heavy body could also be what’s been wearing her down little by little.
One day, Jessie’s owner, Teddi noticed that she was limping and whimpering. She rushed Jessie to the vet where she was given meticam but soon after she got excited and agitated her injury.
This is when Teddi took her to the VCA and they determined she needed a Tibial Tuberosity Advancement Surgery. This is is an orthopedic procedure to repair deficient cranial cruciate ligaments in dogs. Jessie will not be able to walk again with out it! She’s currently on Carprofen and lots of rest!
Teddi and Jessie came together in December or 2012. She was looking for a companion and when she came across Jessie she immediately fell in love. She went straight to Petco adopted her right away and welcomed her into her home. Teddi has taken very good care of Jessie’s general care. In addition to her injury, Jessie has allergies and needs to be on medication. Between general care expenses and allergy medication, Teddi just can’t seem to find where the extra money will come from.
Seeing Jessie in pain worries and saddens Teddi deeply. All she wants is for her best friend to walk again. With the surgery being above her head but necessary, Teddi turned to us for help.
Poor Jessie can barely walk
Please help Jessie walk again!!
