Diagnosed with a bladder stone
This little King Charles mix has been having urinary issues for the last few weeks. Four to five weeks ago Julie, pet owner, noticed Sophie had blood in her urine. Julie immediately took Sophie to the vet where she was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. Sophie was put on antibiotics for 1o days. The first few days went ok but then the frequency and the blood had come back.
After the 10 days Sophie went back to the vet were they diagnosed her with a bladder stone. The doctor was in hope of having the stone break down on its own with special food and medicine. Last Thursdays check up revealed the stone was still there.
Next steps for Sophie
Sophie’s vet wants to have the stone removed and tested. There is some urgency to the removal of the stone due to the stone blocking, infections and just as important pain from the stone. Julie is leaving diapers on Sophie so she can make sure she is still going to the bathroom and can monitor the blood. The vet also suggests two nights of stay in the hospital. Sophie is still on antibiotics and special diet food.
How Julie met Sophie
Julie had a friend who rescued a King Charles from the streets not knowing much about this dog soon they found out that dog was pregnant. Julie took Sophie from her friend as soon as she was weaned from her mom.
Julie has adult children but now Sophie is her little baby. Julie is on her own and living with a medical condition leaving her disable. Julie is only able to work a few hours a day. Julie has already paid over $300 in medical bills so far.
Vet Estimate:
Please help Sophie with her bladder stone removal. All donations are tax deductible. Free Animal Doctor pays 100% of the money raised directly to Sophie's vet.

I lost my own fur baby to cancer 6 months ago. I understand the stress, sadness at seeing them in pain, hoping for healing, and the great expense. Prayers for you and your little Sophie.
