About the Campaign

Somba the cat is in need of urgent medical attention. In December, she was diagnosed with gingivitis which made it difficult for her to eat food. Her owner, Shelly, took her to the vet, who suggested X-rays to determine the extent of the problem. However, it turns out that Somba may have a throat polyp as well, so the vet recommended a CT scan of her nose and throat.

I mightz be a littles chonky!

Shelly is doing her best to take care of Somba, but she doesn’t have much money to spare. She’s already dedicated to rescuing other cats, but now she needs help to cover the medical expenses for Somba. The vet estimates the cost of the CT scan to be around $500.

Unfortunately, Shelly is living on a tight budget, surviving on $800 a month of disability and food stamps. To make matters worse, she’s currently helping care for her mom who is in the ICU. On top of that, Shelly is recovering from cancer, which makes it even harder for her to manage the situation.

I am the darkest kittah!

That’s why we’re asking for your help. By donating to Somba’s medical fund, you’ll be helping this sweet cat get the medical attention she desperately needs. Every dollar counts, and even the smallest amount can make a big difference.

Shelly cares for three cats, and has not been able to afford care for them for a bit, so we are estimating how much Somba will need, but also adding in some for the others to get vetted too! All donations are held by us, and only paid to the veterinarian.
