About the Campaign
Good boy,
bad tumor!
Snoop, an 8.5-year-old Pitbull, has been Michanna’s best friend and emotional support since he was just a week old. He was the smallest of a litter found abandoned in a Detroit backyard, and when no one else wanted him, Michanna gave him the loving home he deserved.
Recently, Michanna noticed a small bump on Snoop’s belly that kept growing. At first, she thought it was a skin tag. But when it grew larger, she knew something was wrong. After working hard to save enough and finally getting him to the vet, Snoop was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor. Thankfully, the tumor was caught early, and the vet is confident that surgery to remove it should be enough to get Snoop back to good health.
Michanna is doing everything she can for Snoop. She works as an apprentice body piercer but doesn’t get full-time pay yet. She also lives with her mom, Michelle, who is disabled after a severe car accident. Together, they’ve managed to care for Snoop and each other through tough times—but the cost of surgery is just too much to handle alone.
Snoop’s surgery is urgent but very hopeful. With your help, he can beat this tumor and continue to be the loving, loyal dog Michanna depends on every day. All donations are for Snoop’s surgery and will be paid directly to the veterinarian, estimate below (click to enlarge):
