About the Campaign

Let’s Fix Simba!

Simba, a 5-year-old English Bulldog, is struggling with a painful cherry eye that’s now blocking his vision and causing serious irritation. The condition has led to dry eyes and even ulceration on his cornea. He’s currently on medicated drops to manage the pain, but surgery is urgently needed to prevent permanent damage and help him see clearly again.

Simba’s story is one of survival and love. He and his twin sister, Rosey, were surrendered to the San Bernardino City shelter this summer. Rosey had a five-pound mass hanging from her body, and the shelter planned to euthanize her on the Fourth of July. Sabrina and her rescue team rushed to save her—and when they learned she had a bonded brother, they couldn’t leave him behind. Within days, both dogs were safely out of the shelter and reunited in a loving foster home with Sheila.

Now, after saving so many others, Sabrina’s rescue is facing mounting medical bills. Rosey’s surgery cost $1,800, and several other dogs have needed urgent treatment this year. With thousands already spent on vet care, they simply don’t have the funds left for Simba’s eye surgery.

Simba is a gentle, affectionate dog who adores his sister and loves his new life outside the shelter. Donations will get him fixed, literally! His eye will be fixed, and the doctor will also neuter Simba at the same time. Then, after a short healing up, this handsome boy can get adopted!!
