About the Campaign

Update 5/4/20

She left the vet today and is with a temporary foster in Ontario, California. (If you would like to foster and live in southern California, please let us know!) She has an estimate for about $850 in tests and another $950 for surgery for her foot and the terrible toe. She may be diabetic and/or have Cushing’s diseases, so more tests may be necessary.

Thanks to the AMAZING donations so far she is being cared for and will continue to receive great medical care! THANK YOU. Vet estimates are listed at the bottom of this post, and here is a picture of her sleeping, safely and happily tonight:

Found on the Freeway

Elderly girl has been neglected a long time

Scars, callouses, and a terrible tumor on her toe.

Found on side of the 210 freeway near Fontana, California. This poor dog was baking in the sun, with no shade. Good samaritans waited over two hours for animal control, but finally had to take her themselves.

DreamFetchers Project Rescue got her to the vet. She is in rough shape, and clearly an older dog. The worst visible problem is a terrible tumor on her toe that appears to have pushed her nails out.

She has been named Sierra, and has a very sweet disposition. She will need care and some time at the vet, as well as a lot of tests, so donations are really needed! All donations here are for Sierra! Please donate in confidence to help Sierra recover and find a good home!

This little angel in the prime of her life is dumped on a freeway with no more care or concern then putting the car in drive and leaving her there to die. May the skilled hands of all medical professionals take care of her and place her in a loving home for the remainder of her sweet years.

I just cannot grasp it! What kind of a human does this? A selfish ignorant cruel person indeed. They didnt deserve her love! God bless her and thise who saved her!

I hope and PRAY that this person, whoever did this will get their payback 1000 times over. This is wrong some people today have no empathy or compassion. God help them, they are going to need it.

Thank you for saving!! Animal control (Riverside, it’s campuses, San Bernardino, Devore, etc.) would take to the facilities that are high kill and have proven ineptness when Red List for stress/depression, old…. Realize difficult times. Taxpayers dollars are to “shelter” NOT destroy innocent victims of PURE EVIL 😈 humans who should be put down before the animals!!!!
    This should be a felony!!!!
Donations, volunteers and fosters ALWAYS NEEDED for rescues like this to continue to save precious lives!!

These prices seem so reasonable! I’m in Atlanta. I wish this vet was near me.

A couple of months ago, my little dog, Cooper, a 12 lb silky terrier mix, got hit by a car in front of where I live. (The neighbor, who was driving too fast in the parking lot, later rejected any responsibility or assistance.) All the driver kept doing was screaming, “Oh I’m so sorry”, but didn’t do anything practical. I got him to the emergency vet within 30 minutes. (10 minutes of her screaming, 10 minutes to get my car keys, and 10 minutes drive to the vet.)

I had to sign papers and give them my credit card before they would do anything to him. I could hardly fill out the paperwork my hand was shaking so much. At 1st they said $1500-2500,….I wasn’t ready to let him go. He had traumatic brain injury, internal bleeding, and multiple fractures to his pelvis. He had to have blood transfusion and was in an incubator for 2 days. I got everyone I knew praying.

He lived!!! My Cooper is my miracle dog! After pulling through, they told me because of the pelvic fractures, he needed surgery to cut off the top of his femur. So when all was said and done, it turned out to be $8500 total. I’m a working senior (72). But Cooper fought through and he is 110% including his brain! Shortly after this happened, a friend told me about these type of funding, but I was too upset to even figure out how to do it.

In reading this article on Sierra, I now know for others. Thank you for the work you do. I hope you fix up Sierra and find her a loving forever home to live out her remaining days! I never shared this publicly, so I hope you don’t mind my sharing this here now.
