About the Campaign
He’s just 3 years old
Sammy has a condition called stomatitis. This condition results in severe inflammation of the mouth tissues, like the gums. It is a chronic condition that is not completely understood. If untreated it can lead to infections of the stomach and other serious conditions, and it is painful, to the point some cats will stop eating.
Sammy was rescued as a baby only days old! He was bottle fed, as his mother abandoned him. His stomatitis condition showed up over a year ago, and his owner Gracie has been managing his condition with a monthly steroid shot from the vet, which is $85.00 per time. However in the last few months Sammy is getting worse, and the doctor states that the steroid treatment is no longer sufficient.
Sam now needs dental surgery to remove his teeth. This is often, ultimately, the necessary treatment for cats with this condition. Gracie needs help paying for this dental surgery and did not qualify for Care-Credit. Let’s get Sam the surgery he needs to live the rest of his life without pain! Thank you!
