About the Campaign
Bladder Stones!
Roxy is a 10-year-old terrier mix who has bladder stones and is now peeing blood.
This started a few weeks ago when Brian’s family noticed blood in the yard where the dogs potty. At first they weren’t sure which dog it was—until a relative saw Roxy urinate and confirmed the blood was coming from her. Bladder stones can cause severe discomfort, infection, and dangerous urinary blockage, so Roxy needs treatment soon to stop the bleeding and prevent this from turning into an emergency.
Her veterinarian has scheduled her procedure for March 3, and the total cost is about $2,500. Brian has managed to put together about $1,000, but he was denied CareCredit and can’t reach the remaining balance without help.
Roxy has been Brian’s dog since 2015. Right now, Roxy isn’t living directly with Brian because his current housing doesn’t allow dogs. She is staying at his father in-laws where Brian used to live. But he goes over almost every day to spend time with her and help with care and he is moving back in soon. Brian is trying to get Roxy healthy before she’s back under his roof full-time.
Money is tight for reasons that go far beyond this vet bill. Brian is disabled on SSI and has been on dialysis for five years, going in three times a week. He was recently hospitalized, and Sara—who works in customer service as a call center manager—had to take time off under FMLA, which meant reduced pay while bills and rent kept coming. With medical costs, lost income, and even a broken-down truck they’re trying to fix, there simply isn’t enough left for a sudden $2,500 surgery.
Donations will help cover Roxy’s bladder stone procedure and related care. All donations are paid only to the veterinarian. This is pretty urgent! The estimate is below, and you may click it to enlarge:

Vet bills are awful. They are high and insurance doesn’t cover most of them. I know from experience with our Sally and also Alyce when she was still with us. God bless your little friend and your Family with your struggles. I wish I could send more…

I had a sweet schnauzer that had this problem. It is heartbreaking. I have had a horrible experience with kidney stones as well. Hope Roxy gets relief from this. Also wish the best for this family.

My soul dog schnoodle named Frodo had this and it was so painful but I was incredibly fortunate and didn’t have to go through with the surgery they recommended because it miraculously passed on it’s own through medicine and diet change. It was beyond fortunate because I was struggling at the time and wouldn’t have been able to pay for they surgery. I want to pay it forward because I didnt need to spend it then so I want to send it now for your furbaby. They are blessings and need to be cherished and taken care of. Good luck!

I’m a Veterinarian, and I’d like to help that dog. Owner needs to put that dog on a proper diet post-op. And bring in urine samples every few months.

This family and their animal companion Roxy need help. We can do this as a community. Best if luck with the surgery and get Roxy on the good diet but I also would look for some natural helpers too for maintence afterwards. I hope you all feel better soon.
