About the Campaign
Symptoms started 3 months ago
Roxy is a 9 year old dog who has been with Regina since she was a puppy. Roxy has had medicine issues for a while but the new symptoms have nothing to do with Roxy’s diabetes or her EPI(Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency).
Roxy’s health was declining fast. She wasn’t eating, Regina was syringe feeding her throughout the day, controlling her fevers and making sure Roxy’s walking wasn’t getting worse.
Roxy’s regular vet ran all the test they could. All of the test came back negative so Roxy was moved to a specialist. Then CT’s and ultrasounds started and nothing stood out so Regina drove hours to see a kidney specialist at UC Davis San Diego.
The specialist finally diagnosed Roxy with kidney failure. The right kidney is still working and the doctor believe that with medicine and close monitoring for the next 2-3 months Roxy can live a humane life.
Rescued at Petsmart
Regina’s story on how she met Roxy
We Rescued Roxy as a puppy along with her 3 other puppy sibling sisters from out in front of petsmart from someone who had a whoops litter🙄. We felt really bad for these 4 furgirls and felt compelled to just rescue all of them. They all came down with full blown parvo symptoms within a day of having them within our possession. The person giving the puppies away claimed they all were fully vaccinated😩 We lost 1 out of the 4 sisters and spent about $5000 for each pup trying to save there lives at the emergency hospital. Roxy and her sister Hippo live here with us and there other surviving sister named Maleficent lives with my sister– Regina
We are asking for three months of medicine and check ups with the specialist in San Diego.
