About the Campaign
Surgery Revealed Tumors!
Rosy is a sweet 10-year-old Maltese–Bichon mix who weighs just 10 pounds but has a huge place in her family’s heart. Recently, she underwent emergency surgery for pyometra—a serious uterine infection. During recovery, her family noticed a bump near the suture site. At first, they hoped it was just swelling from surgery, but tests revealed the heartbreaking news: Rosy has not one, but two tumors that need to be removed.
Her family is doing everything they can, but they’ve already spent $2,500 on Rosy’s emergency surgery in February, and now they’re facing another steep vet bill. With medical debt from past health struggles and the rising cost of living, they simply can’t afford the next surgery alone.
Birthday girl!
Rosy has been with the family since she was a puppy. Their daughter Julie, now 17, had always wanted a little white dog, and Rosy was exactly that. She also shares something unique with Julie: a small physical difference. Rosy has a tiny left ear, while Julie was born without a left hand. That connection made their bond immediate and lifelong.
Now this gentle little dog, who has grown up alongside all three kids, needs another chance at health. Her family is doing all they can—Tina works as a nurse, her husband is recovering from past cancer treatment, and they’re still paying off those bills.
With your help, Rosy can get the surgery she needs to remove the tumors and continue being the happy, loving dog she’s always been. All donations are held by us and paid directly to the veterinarian. Estimate is below, please click or tap to enlarge:

Get better Rosy! People donated to my dog when he was sick and want to pay it forward. Wish it could be more. ❤️

I am donating because your Rosy looks a little like my Teddy BooBoo, who is a 10 lb Maltese. I wish I could donate more but will keep Rosy in my prayers!

Hello Antoinette,
Thank you so much for your kind wishes. We’re hoping and praying Rosy can get her surgery soon — we’re currently working on setting a date. The longer we wait, the more anxious I feel. We would be devastated if anything happened to her; she’s truly is our world.
Rosy has been by our side through extremely difficult times, always offering comfort — whether by lying quietly next to us, making us laugh by playfully showing her teeth, standing on her hind legs to ask to be held, or running back and forth in excited little circles. Your support means the world to us! 💖🐾
Best regards,
Tina

Hello Patricia,
Thank you so much for caring about Rosy! Thanks to kind people like you, the other generous donors, and the amazing team at Free Animal Doctor, Rosy will be saved. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! We’re doing everything we can to make sure she gets her surgery and has the chance at a long, happy life.
We can’t imagine our lives without her. She’s grown up alongside my kids, been our comfort through all the rough times, brought us so much laughter and happiness, and been our light when our eyes were heavy with tears, our hearts were hurting with sadness, and our minds were scarred with grief. Your support and kindness mean the world to us! 💖🐾
Best regards,
Tina
