About the Campaign

Cancerous tumor covers this

doggie’s entire toe now!

His name is Reef and his owner Andreis rescued him many years ago when Reef was left behind in an abandoned apartment.

Reef’s best dog friend is Kima who Andreis also rescued a few years later. So two rescue Pitties just have the best life!

Until about 10 months ago. At that time Andreis noticed a small bump on Reef’s paw. Took him to the vet, and they said not to worry but just keep an eye on it. Well, 10 months later and it suddenly starts growing up fast. Andreis could not afford to get Reef to an oncologist (cancer specialist) but a nice woman found out about his situation and paid for that visit, which was nearly $600.

The doctor determined that the tumor is cancer, and must be removed and the area treated. Right now it looks ok, but the cancer could spread, including through the blood/lymph system into other parts of the body. The key to these types of cancer is to catch them early and then get them removed!

Andreis is a substitute teacher, and due to recent surgery has been out of work and cannot go back until later this year. That makes money tight. He has about $500 to contribute, but Reef’s bill is around $3000 and time is not on Reef’s side, the tumor needs to go! Now Reef will lose his toe, but this is a small thing to be cancer free and have a happy and healthy life.

All donations are only for Reef, paid only to the veterinarian for his procedure. If Reef does not have the procedure, then donations are refunded. So, if you want to help Reef get the surgery he needs, please donate in confidence today 🙂
