About the Campaign
Rambo the Bulldog, lost for 4 years, he found his home!
Rambo has “cherry-eye”, a condition where one of the membranes that hold in the eye inverts, popping out like a cherry, and red inflammation around the eye.
Back in 2014 Rambo’s owner, Rafael, left him in the backyard, as he had to visit his mother in the hospital. When he got home, Rambo was gone! They searched for Rambo for a long time, but it became clear someone had stolen him from the backyard and he was not going to be returned or found.
Fast Forward to the present!
Rafael got a phone call, someone had found Rambo, four years later, and Rambo had been found wandering the streets, stray!
Rafael had gotten Rambo chipped when he was a puppy, and somehow after all these years Rambo ended up stray on the streets! A good person found him, got him scanned for a chip, and Rafael got a phone call!!! (Side note: get your pets microchipped, it is worth it).
It isn’t an emergency, though it looks bad, but cherry eye does need to be corrected with surgery. Untreated it can lead to infection, and even eye damage. It is also irritating to Rambo, causing him to rub his face against object, or his paw, which can also lead to more damage.
Kinder for Rescue is a non-profit vet in North Hollywood. They will do the surgery at a very reduced price of a $450 with some additional costs for blood work. All donations are paid only to the vet for Rambo’s care. Donate in confidence, knowing your donation is going directly to Rambo for his care!
