About the Campaign
Puppy is a 1-year-old male Old English Sheepdog who needs to be neutered. His owner, Debra, also wants to get his mother, Willow, spayed so there are no more accidental litters. This is basic, responsible care, but on Debra’s disability income, even routine surgery is out of reach.
Puppy was born in an accidental litter. Debra already had Old English Sheepdogs, and Puppy was one of three pups born to Willow. He was supposed to go to a new home, but when he was still young, he badly cut his leg while playing near Debra’s late husband’s motorcycle. The injury required stitches, a cone, and repeated vet visits, and by the time he recovered, Debra had fallen in love with him.
Willow loves him too. Puppy stayed with his mother, grew up in the home, and became part of Debra’s life. His father, Iceland, has since gone to a new home, but Debra still has Puppy and Willow and wants to do the right thing by getting them fixed.
The barrier is cost. Debra has been disabled since a motorcycle accident in 2010. She was riding behind her husband and does not remember what happened, only that she woke up after severe trauma. She spent months in the hospital with brain trauma, reconstructive surgery, many broken bones, and extensive facial fractures. Her husband, Dusty, later passed away in a car accident in 2012.
Debra now lives alone with her dogs in a small studio apartment on her in-laws’ property and survives on disability. Donations will help cover Puppy’s neuter, Willow’s spay if funds allow, medications, and related veterinary care so Debra can prevent another accidental litter and keep these dogs healthy. All donations are paid only to the veterinarian. NOTE: This is the lowest cost option for these dogs in this area. The surgery is being done by Oregon Humane society. Recently they lost funding to subsidize their spay and neuter clinic, and have had to raise prices. Also, these are large dogs and not only does that cost more, but it lowers the number of options.

This dog is amazing but he needs to be fixed so
Hopefully he won’t be as much as he is now. He is my mom’s dogs and she is low income. Any bit will help. Thank you
