A bad surgery,

now in the hospital over a month!

Princess Ann really needs our help. We will get right to the story: She went in to the doctor to get a big tumor removed. They did the surgery. But the doctor could not get the wound to close properly.

Princess Ann was sent home, with drains in the wound and bandaged, and that may have been a mistake. So, back to the vet, second surgery. Also, this did not work.

Third surgery, this time to take a graft of skin from her belly, and then use that to close the wound.

That did not work as hoped, but there was some progress. However, a FOUTH surgery was needed!

At this point her owner, Johna, had spent almost $5000, and the vet was giving her discounts, apparently because they felt some responsibility. Johna maxed out her credit, more than she can afford in payments now, and even pawned her Honda Civic, for just $1300… She is REALLY trying to help her dog.

And then this week, the doctor calls and says Princess Ann has developed MRSA, an infection in the wound that is resistant to antibiotics. This is dangerous, and also possibly contagious to humans, as well as other animals, so Princess Ann is in isolation at the hospital.  (Read about MSRA here)

Johna needs $1800 urgently to pay the vet for this treatment and hospitalization. She is not asking to recover the $5000 she already has charged, or even to get her car back. She is just desperate to get the $1800 she needs now for Princess Ann, a dog she rescued as a puppy–look how cute she was below:

All donations are for Princess Ann, and we will pay them only to the vet for treatment. Further, we are working with someone to negotiate with the vet about what has happened, but we cannot go into too much detail about that right now, I am sure you can understand. But please, this is a really deserving case, both the owner and the dog, and we want to see Princess Ann FINALLY get healed up and back home, that is the priority right now. Thank you!
