About the Campaign
Prada Can Walk
Pain-Free Again
Sweet Prada was having fun with friends when a painful accident left her unable to walk normally—she needs urgent surgery!
Uso, the bad/good friend:
Prada, a lovable two-year-old, was just trying to enjoy a game with her doggy friend, Uso, when a collision left her in agony. Uso, twice her size, accidentally slammed into her, and the impact fractured the head of her femur bone. Now, Prada can’t walk without pain, and she urgently needs a surgical procedure called femoral head ostectomy (FHO) to remove the damaged bone and give her a chance to run and play again.
You can see the split Femoral Head in this x-ray by the yellow arrow:
When Sherly adopted Prada last year, along with her sister Cindy, it was a fresh start for Prada, who was struggling with allergies and needed a specialized diet to keep her comfortable. The original owner hadn’t wanted to keep Prada, despite caring for Cindy, so Sherly opened her heart and home to give her the love and care she truly deserves.
Prada loves momma:
Now, Prada faces this unexpected injury, and while Sherly has managed to cover about half the cost of the month-long boarding needed for Prada’s recovery, she simply can’t afford the entire expense. After months of regular care for Prada’s allergies, this sudden injury has stretched her finances thin.
Prada has been through so much, and with your support, she can get the care she needs to walk comfortably again. Her family has about 1/2 the money they need, or can get it with credit, but not enough. All donations will go directly toward her surgery and recovery boarding costs. Your generosity can bring this sweet girl back to a pain-free, happy life.
