Pollyanna “Polly”

About the Campaign

Pollyanna or “Polly” is a 10 year old Bull Terrier with the heart of a puppy and an amazing will to fight. Polly is deaf and has a serious history of neglect and abuse. Polly was overbred and when the breeder had nothing more to take from her, it was decided to dispose of Polly. Polly was thrown off the side of a cliff into the ocean. Luckily she didn’t hit the water but landed on some rocks and stayed adrift for 3 days before she was saved via helicopter by an LA country rescue team.

Through all this,  Polly was able to make it through. Some of you may remember Donna Clark and Pantera’s story. Donna run’s a Pitbull rescue-Freedom Ride Home. We campaigned for Pantera last year and although the campaign was successful, Pantera didn’t survive the surgery. Donna found Polly just 3 months ago and vowed to protect and save Polly from the tough life she’s experienced so far. “I always said I’d rescue another dog in Pantera’s memory-” Donna says “They both were mistreated and overbred. Polly reminds me so much of Pantera.”

Polly needs two lumps removed and biopsied. Because she’s an albino Pit bull, a biopsy of her nose is required to see if she doesn’t have cancer and lastly she needs some dental work and extractions. So far, Polly has been vetted and although it took months, she has been placed with a loving foster family (Sandy & Patricia).

Polly has a loud, grade 3, heart murmur and hip dysplasia in addition to her lumps, dental issues, and nose. “She’s not a typical senior dog” Donna says. Everyone’s who’s met her is really rooting for Polly and would love to give her a fighting chance. She’s been through so much she deserves it!

Look at Polly enjoying life! She’s just waiting on finding her forever home now! We’re so happy that Polly is living a Happy & Healthy Life!!
