About the Campaign
Pixie’s owner is disabled and has money issues. She has managed to raise $750, but needs another $650 to get this surgery done and paid for!
Pyometra is deadly
You can find more information about pyometra here. It’s an infection of the uterus, and like an infected appendix in humans, the main risk is that the infection ruptures, and overloads the body. Without surgery most dogs will die.
Shelly Summers arranges a great vet at a discount
Shelly is the founder of A Pass for Paws, an animal rescue in Temecula, CA. She helped arrange for Pixie to get to Angel Care Animal Hospital, for surgery with the great Dr. V. He agreed to do the surgery at a heavily discounted price under $1400.00…… normally this procedure is easily over $2000.00, even $3000.00.
Dr. V discusses Pixie in this video:
How you can help
Pixie’s owner has financial difficulties, and this sudden expense is more than she can afford. She did get $500 in Care Credit and $250 from a friend. So Pixie just needs $650 to fully fund her surgery!!
This procedure has a high success rate and Dr. V is very positive on Pixie’s chances! All donations are only for Pixie and will be paid to Angel Care Animal Hospital only. Please help Pixie today, WOOOF!

My workplace has a company match, but the 501(c)3 must mail in the request form. It only takes minutes to complete. Would anyone at FAD be willing to do so? This doubles the resources.
