About the Campaign
Little Pesto can’t cry
Like literally! Her right eye’s tear duct does not work.
Pesto was diagnosed with an issue with her tear duct that has caused her to experience dry eyes, irritation, discharge, and eye infections. If left untreated, this condition will lead to permanent blindness.
The owner of Pesto, Elizabeth, adopted her in May of 2021 and had no knowledge of this issue at that time. However, the condition began to worsen last fall and has progressively gotten worse. Despite her best efforts to manage it with different eye drops and antibiotics, the problem persists. To date, the owner has spent about $700 trying to fix the problem, but to no avail.
What to do:
The only solution to Pesto’s problem is surgery to create or fix her tear duct. The cost of this surgery is quite substantial, and as a social worker, Elizabeth is struggling to make ends meet. She took Pesto in as a friend of a friend was going to just take Pesto to the pound!
Pesto is being cared for, and Elizabeth has spent the money she has available. But she just cannot afford the funds needed for Pesto’s surgery. She hopes that with the community’s help, Pesto will have a chance to live a happy and healthy life.
Donations go towards Pesto’s surgery and recovery only, paid only to the veterinarian. No money is paid to Elizabeth. If you would like to help Pesto save her sight and to give her the chance to live a happy and healthy life, please donate safely, right to Pesto today! Thank you 🙂
