Perry in Peril!
Senior Pug ended up in the ER and on oxygen.
Perry is a cute senior Pug. Amy adopted him from the animal shelter years ago, she saw him at the shelter and he was just so sad looking. Perry had been returned twice, for severe separation anxiety, and it took Amy some serious work and time to get Perry’s behavior under control, but she didn’t give up on him. Over the years since she has moved many times, and always made sure Perry could move to, even when it was difficult.

At the end of September he had a sudden choking episode and went to the emergency vet. At one point the doctor even told Amy that Perry probably was not going to make it. But he did, and the next day she took him to her regular vet who adjusted Perry’s medication and he has been ok all of October, so it looks like it was just a one-time thing. BUT, during this a bulge was discovered on his side.
Now Perry’s doctor wants to do a biopsy of it. It started, small, but has grown up really fast as you can see in the photos, where is it more visible now that Perry had his fur in the area shaved.
The problem for Amy is she maxed out her credit on Perry’s ER visit. Now he needs a biopsy and a full blood test, and she simple does not have the money.
Perry is a very good boy, and her son Nolan and him are besties! Amy says Perry just thinks he is her other son… and she has certainly shown a lot of dedication to him. Let’s help Perry get this biopsy and blood work he needs. He is an older guy now, almost 15, but he is a good boy and deserves good care, thank you!
