About the Campaign

Pecas Needs

Urgent Dental Surgery

Pecas’ infected gums and teeth require immediate surgery. She can only eat the softest food, and spreading infection could be life threatening.

Pecas, a sweet six-year-old dog, has been Melissa’s companion since she was a puppy, found through a newspaper ad. Over the years, Pecas has been healthy, but recently, her dental health has taken a turn for the worse. Last year, after getting sick, a vet warned that Pecas’ teeth might be contributing to her illness. Though Melissa kept a close eye on it, Pecas seemed fine for a while.

However, during a recent check-up, the vet confirmed that Pecas’ teeth had deteriorated further. Her gums are badly infected, and her teeth are covered in tartar, now requiring extractions and a deep cleaning. Unfortunately, until the surgery is done, the full extent of the damage remains unclear.

Melissa, a student training to become a nail technician, has already spent $1,000 trying to help Pecas, including a second vet opinion, vaccines, and special food to help her eat with her current teeth. With an estimate of $1,500 for the surgery, Melissa is facing financial strain. She’s working part-time as a caregiver but hasn’t been getting many hours, making it difficult to support herself and afford the necessary care for Pecas.

Pecas deserves relief from her painful dental issues, and Melissa is doing everything she can. Now, they need your support to cover the cost of surgery and ensure Pecas can live without constant discomfort. Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward Pecas’ surgery and dental care. Poor baby! Those teeth are really bad. Small dogs get the worst teeth. I know I have many small ones! Good luck!
