About the Campaign

Twelve sick and abused puppies!

It was not a good situation. Twelve puppies being sold, illegally. Two sold, when the other 10 got sick. Parvo.

Of those three have died, but the rescue (Our Family Paws Rescue, a 501c3) has gotten the seven treatment at Fix Long Beach, and five have been responding very well, two are still quite sick, but have a good chance.

These poor puppies were covered in ticks, and in a back yard in Riverside County, California in 100 degree weather with no water and no food. You can see their condition in the photos below. The rescue is going to make a full report to the authorities, but so far has only been able to get the puppies, the mother and two other senior dogs are still at the property and they are working to get them first. So we do not want to go into too much detail until all the animals at the location are safe.

So many ticks on every puppy:

Parvo causes dehydration, and the body cannot absorb nutrients from food, which means it was doubly difficult that all these puppies were so dehydrated and starved when they got sick! They had no reserves! Frankly it is amazing that 7 have survived.

In that yard in Riverside:

The rescue is in dire financial straights though, the treatment PER PUPPY is $1850 for four days. They have been in the vet for nine days right now as we write this, and it will probably come close to 12-15 days by the time they can all leave. The bill is expected to be well over $15,000 that Our Family Paws just does not have.

You support rescues who do good work, and save dogs from terrible conditions. Our Family Paws has a long record of doing so, often with very bad cases out of Mexico and also here in the US. Support them with a donation. 100% of your donation goes to the puppies for their care!

I’m in Simi valley. I’d be willing to foster one or two of the puppies if needed.

We adopted our dogs from Our Family Paws. They are a wonderful organization and have such a passion for saving dogs! These puppies needed a hero and Our Family Paws stepped up, so now is the time for us to help them!

My donation, as small as it is will be a Donation from the 18 puppies (1 litter of 9 German Shepherd Pups were my own and a litter of 9 mix breed were brought to me for a 2 day hold by the “Daisy’s PAWZ Foster/Rescue Program” without informing me their puppies were infected with the PARVO VIRUS.). The rescue pups then infected my healthy, happy, energetic and thriving pups shortly after their arrival. Out of 18 precious babies, only TWO from my personal litter survived. This donation comes as a result of those 16 puppies I gave my ALL to in trying to save them. My difficult ability was in watching those 16 take their last breath. Due to the promises made to me from the rescue group which failed to arrive, I find myself trying to now catch up financially. I wish and would like to donate more funds for the puppies fighting for their lives however, after being scammed out of hundreds and hundreds of personal funds, I find my bank account balance to be lower than I calculated. With that said, once I am given clearance of the virus or contaminants on my property and I am able to “Pay-It-Forward”… I would truly like to send and offer more on behalf of my own 16 puppies who were too weak & sick and who did not survive..

Praying these precious pups are stronger than the 16 babies I lost to the PARVO VIRUS just last week on Thursday.

Such a sad but amazing story of what you did… so sorry it did not work out. Parvo is terrible, and it is so hard to tell who will make it and who will not.

Two months ago we had a case of 6 with parvo. Two died, four made it. But of those four, one died two months later from complications.

I’ve seen the suffering a dog goes through when it’s got Parvo, I honestly wish that I could afford to send more but I get it that they need so much money we need to help with helping these beautiful babies.

Since I am a small child my heart has told me to rescue or care for animals. As an adult I donate more to local shelters but foster several older dogs snd diabetic cats since I learned to give shots. Stories like this are many and I don’t have much but I need to help this family of sickly pups. I hope they recover with all our help and love. God bless you for your work.

I hope all these puppies recover from parvo and get rid of all the ticks and fleas. Poor babies all need good, loving homes after they recover.

Thank you for taking on these pitiful pups even tho the financial resources are lacking. If we each just give a bit, the cost of their care can be covered.

my heart breaks on a daily basis every day when I come home from Instacart and I’m gonna need to whoever I can. I feel like the world is in such a dire need to help Animal and I wish all the horrible cruel people just cut the junk out and start treating them like the wonderful things that they are and I wish that the people who did this to that will go to prison for the rest of their lives because they deserve this treatment for to them. I literally feel like it just keeps going and going and then I get much better but good hearted people like all of us are working harder and faster to keep up with helping them just isn’t fair for any of us. It should be a better world, but until then, this is what we’ll all do happily

I am donating because I love animals first of all, and above and beyond anything all life should be held in the highest regard and cared for at the very best of our ability. Anyone who cannot take care of the animals that they have should reach out for help instead of allowing those beautiful souls to suffer and die horrible deaths. I currently have six dogs 15 feral cats down from 16 dogs and 21 feral cats yes it is a chore and a responsibility but I would have it no other way. God bless each and everyone of the sweet souls may they all heal and become healthy beautiful pups that live the very best of their lives. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to help.
