Painful Abscess Caught Early!

Seven-year-old Onyx, a sweet little Pug with a big personality, is now on antibiotics and pain medication after her vet discovered an abscessed tooth. She’s in pain—and the clock is ticking.

The only way to truly help her is surgery. Onyx urgently needs a full dental procedure, including extractions, to treat the infection and remove damaged teeth before things get worse. Her vet says it should ideally happen within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks to supporters like you, Onyx recently got the exam and bloodwork she needed to be cleared for surgery. That first fundraiser got her through the door—now she just needs help to complete her care. (First fundraiser HERE)

Her owner, Jamie, rescued Onyx when she was just six months old. A coworker was going to take her to the pound, but Jamie stepped in, still grieving the loss of her previous dog. Onyx has been a beloved member of the family ever since.

Over the past year and a half, Jamie has watched Onyx’s dental health slowly decline. One tooth turned grey. Another cracked. But the cost of vet care kept help out of reach—especially after Jamie was forced onto medical leave from her job at the Chewy warehouse due to a frozen shoulder. She’s now working part-time at Olive Garden just to stay afloat.
