About the Campaign

One eye, and a lot

of bad teeth…

This is Lulu. Poor little things was owned by drug addicts for years. They neglected her, leaving her in the yard, nothing more than some concrete and dirt. Sometimes they would get a bag of dog food and just dump the whole thing out in the dirt.

Lulu in the yard:

A neighbor watched, and would help. Sneaking bowls of good food and water in though the fence. Until one day, the sheriffs came! In fact that was just this June. The addicts were evicted, and little Lulu was left behind. The neighbor ran over, saw the abandoned house “red tagged” by the police and locked up, and took little Lulu to safety.

Lulu before being cleaned up:

She was in bad shape. Matted all over. Her left eye looking missing, but actually it is there, but damaged. And she was so dehydrated… even at first she wouldn’t even drink, which can be a bad sign that the dehydration has gone too far, but fortunately Lulu didn’t have any permanent organ damage. The neighbor cleaned her up, groomed her, and managed to get ahold of Faith Easdale of Dream Fetchers Project Rescue.

Feeling better!

Faith got Lulu transported to a vet, and her blood test is good. Her left eye is “dead”, probably from an old injury, but the right eye is ok, and working, although there is a cataract. Lulu’s only real problem is her teeth, which are really bad and need work: cleaning, and some will need to be removed.

After that she will be good to go! Lulu is real sweet and super friendly, and will make a great dog for someone out there! Let’s get her fixed up! All donations are for Dream Fetchers Project Rescue to help Lulu, and 100% will go to them. And if you are interested in adopting her, let us know 🙂
