About the Campaign

Nena, a 9 month old puppy, was left alone over 13 hours a day

Paulette couldn’t stand knowing that Nena was neglected all day. So Paulette agreed to foster Nena, in hopes of finding her a furever home!

Free to be a Puppy

On the first day being Nena’s foster mom, Paulette found a potential adopter. During the home inspection/ playdate Nena was able to squeeze through a small fence opening  and fell onto the neighbors concrete patio below.

X-rays of Nena’s fractures

Paulette rushed Nena to her veterinarian and then was referred to an orthopedic specialist.Sadly, Nena broke both her left tibia and left fibula. Paulette feels just terrible about the accident and says she’s the sweetest dog.  As proof, Paulette explained the only accident she ever had in the house was in the shape of a heart. <3

The total veterinarian bill is about $3,000 however, Family Dog and Cat Hospital was kind enough to discount the bill by 10%. Paulette has agreed to donated $200. Paulette opened a GoFundMe page and her friends and family members have donated a total of $75. The current outstanding balance for Nena’s surgery  is  $2,425.

Because of the seriousness of Nena’s injury, her doctors have scheduled surgery for next Monday, September 17th. Let’s help make this puppy better! She just wants to be able to be free and explore the world.
