About the Campaign

Tumor on his heart?

UPDATE: Negro had a ultrasound and other tests. The doctor now thinks his issue is Cushing’s Syndrome. He has all of the symptoms. Negro now needs a Cushing’s test, called “a stim test”, or ACTH test, a urine test and more medication. This is his new treatment plan:

Negro is Maria’s little senior dog. She got him nine years ago from someone giving away puppies in the grocery store parking lot, and he’s been a good boy ever since!

Maria had a couple of heart attacks earlier this year, and when Negro started acting like she was having trouble breathing and being a bit lethargic, she thought he might just be imitating her! But no, he was really feeling bad. A vet visit and x-rays showed two masses around the belly and by the heart.

Doctor thinks he can remove them with surgery, and wants to do that. The masses appear isolated, and if they are cancer (they may not be), they may not have spread. Blood tests for Negro are good. He still seems like a happy dog, but he is getting tired more easily, and sometimes looks to be in pain or having trouble breathing.

Maria is financially stressed right now, so the only way Negro can get surgery is with help. All donations are for him, paid only to the vet when surgery is done. Estimate below, click to enlarge:

Our fur babies are family and for some they are one’s only family. One is never loved more uncoditionally than by their fur baby.
