About the Campaign
Carlos was only 10 years-old when his parents got Nano as a puppy. Six years later he is the advocate for Nano, as Carlos’s parents do not speak English and are wary of seeking help.
In early June the family noticed a swelling on Nano’s belly to the side of his pee-pee. It got bigger, and Carlos got his parents to take Nano to the vet.
Unfortunately both his parents had lost their jobs due the COVID-19 Pandemic, and had almost no money. They got a general exam and some medications, but they couldn’t afford the $800.00 needed for x-rays and blood tests etc… Without those tests the vet would not give a written estimate, but has told us that she believes it is a hernia, and the surgery will be about $1000.00.
How we can help Nano
Carlos is advocating for the family dog and taking the lead like an adult. We need to raise enough money to get x-rays to determine it is clearly a hernia, and then enough for the surgery. Preferably we could do all this at the same time, and get Nano taken care of! We may get Nano to a different vet, but we know these tests and hernia surgery will be $1500-2000 in this area, so we are trying to raise right in the middle at $1800.
As always, donations are only paid to the vet. And donations here are only for Nano! Let’s help this sweet family dog out! Can you help Nano today?
