Nala now has a second chance!

Nala, a gentle 9-year-old German Shepherd, has endured a life of hardship that no dog should ever face. Found just two months ago by Sabrina, her sister, and a friend, Nala was part of a group of stray dogs near trailer homes in their area. The group included Nala, a male dog, and several puppies—all malnourished, infested with ticks and fleas, and in desperate need of care. Nala, the mother, appeared to have been used for breeding and was in the worst condition of all.

Though not part of a formal rescue, Sabrina and her friends began feeding the strays out of their own pockets, moved by their plight. Nala, however, needed more immediate help. They connected with a foster through the Nextdoor app, and the foster took Nala to the vet. There, they learned she has a tumor on the bottom of her stomach and needs surgery to remove it. The vet also recommended spaying her during the same procedure to prevent future health issues.

Despite their love and dedication, Sabrina and her friends simply can’t afford Nala’s treatment. Between feeding the other strays and their own limited resources, they’re turning to kind-hearted people like you to help give Nala the chance she deserves.
