About the Campaign
Mr Lincoln needs our help,
and it is not a big ask!
A good friend of ours reached about about a lady named Laura and her lovely cat Mr Lincoln. Lincoln has a gum infection and bad teeth, hurting him to where he is not eating. Laura is a disabled senior citizen on a limited income. Laura has no smart-phone or camera, and could not take any photos, so we were able to go visit her. We verified her case in person, and got the photos and video you see here.
Personally, Laura is impressive. Though she is in wheelchair and on oxygen, she has gotten Mr Lincoln to an affordable vet, and already spent almost $200, which we promise you she does not have, to get him evaluated. In fact, she rescued him from a vet office over 8 years ago!
Laura’s cat of 18 years had passed, and she went into the vet office where they have stray cats for adoption and asked who needed a home the most. Mr Lincoln had been there for a long time, and he was the one she took home. People like Laura are the ones we live to help!
Financial situation
Laura gets $617 from Social Security and about $300 in disability. Her rent is $600. Her health insurance is $330. At the end of the month she has nothing. She spent her stimulus on Mr Lincoln. This is a legitimate case of a good owner who sincerely needs financial help. The estimate is about $600, but we have upped the requested amount to $800 to provide a cushion for medications Mr Lincoln might need, and upcoming vaccinations and a follow up visit. All donations will only be paid to the vet for Mr Lincoln’s surgery and after care. Thank you!!!
