About the Campaign
A Painful Growth
Molly has developed a large lump on her back that keeps growing. Her owner, Linda, first noticed it about three months ago, and it’s now protruding and causing concern. The vet doesn’t believe it’s cancer, but it needs to be surgically removed before it gets worse.
Molly is only 5 years old, an “Old Yeller” mixed up pup. For now, she still wags her tail and acts like her happy self—but she’s started panting more often, a sign the lump may be pressing or causing discomfort. The only way to know for sure and help her heal is to remove it.
Linda adopted Molly when she was just five months old from people who no longer wanted her. She paid $100 to give Molly a real home, especially because Molly looked just like her beloved senior dog who had passed away after 24 years together. Now Linda is desperate to save her again.
Unfortunately, Linda has fallen on very hard times. She doesn’t have a job right now and survives by recycling cans and bottles, using food stamps, and staying at a friend’s home so she isn’t homeless. She’s tried to raise funds on her own but hasn’t been successful—and every day, the lump keeps getting bigger.
Molly is a gentle, loving companion who deserves relief from this painful growth. Your donation will go directly toward her surgery so she can live comfortably again, and we only pay the veterinarian directly. Estimate is below, click to enlarge:

Molly and Linda
Hi Judith,
I want to personally thank you for being the first to donate to Molly’s health and well-being. Your kindness, generosity, and love for Molly touches me deeply. It’s difficult to express my true gratitude with words alone. Again, Molly and I thank you so much. God bless you 🙏 ❤️.

Thank you, Free Animal Doctor. We gave it our best effort. Unfortunately, we failed to make the goal. The worst part of this crowd funding opportunity is that I failed Molly. I’m so sad to report that Molly passed on October 12th, 2025. Thank you again for the crowd funding opportunity.
Sincerely,
Linda Whitaker
