About the Campaign

Mocha beat bone cancer!

Yes, she lost her right arm, but she has been cancer free for over FIVE years.

Mocha was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2018, and given six months to live, but her owner got in touch with the Frosted Faces Foundation, and they helped Mocha get another diagnosis. The cancer was isolated, and had not spread. Now, as we approach 2024, Mocha is still cancer free!

Except, this thing on her lip

It is probably a type of skin cancer, and no related to the bone cancer Mocha previously had. And it just needs to come off and get biopsied. The problem? Mocha got a misdiagnosis as having an enlarged heart.

When her owner Rouge took Mocha to the vet when she first noticed the bump, the doctor said Mocha could not have surgery because her heart was enlarged. Since then Rouge took Mocha for another opinion as the bump has become larger and looks quite bad. The doctors confirmed that Mocha is a candidate for surgery and her heart is fine.

The surgery is urgent and scheduled for the first week of January, but Rouge is short the money needed. She got laid off from her job two months ago, and she had only had that job for about eight months anyway. All donations here are specifically for Mocha to get that tumor taken care of, ASAP! And, as always, donations are only paid to the veterinarian when the surgery is performed. Let’s get 2024 started right for Mocha, and get this nasty tumor in the past!
